Working In The Public Interest Law Conference

The third annual WIPI Law Conference will be held at the Univeristy of Georgia School of Law on April 4th and 5th. Nearly 40 practitioners, judges, and professors from throughout the Southeast and across the country will join our panels and roundtable discussions on issues of social justice and the law. We are honored to have Yale Law's Steven Wizner and prominent Atlanta attorney and 2007 Newsmaker of the Year B.J. Bernstein as our keynote speakers.

This year's panels include:

Criminal Law Series
- Race and the Criminal Justice System
- Decriminalizing Mental Illness: The Rise of Mental Health Courts
- Funding the Public Defender System: Who Should Foot the Bill?

- The Media: How it Shapes Our View of the Law
